What does a copywriter do?
A copywriter studies your prospects and learns what entices them to buy. After researching, writing and rewriting, only the most effective and persuasive words are used for marketing materials, such as: sales letters, brochures, web content, newsletters, rewrites, thank you notes/letters, informational letters, blurbs, articles, booklets, and any other type of copy needed to promote a product/service.

Who will you write for?
If I can get excited about it, I can write about it! This is important – because if a writer doesn’t really care about your product/service, it will show up in the copy. Here’s an example …

Two people are selling the same product. One person doesn’t seem to care about the product, and just hands literature to anybody who will take it. The other person is animated – telling everyone the great benefits of this fantastic product. Who do you think will make more sales?

Why do you specialize in Wellness and Journeys of Discovery?
These are areas I know and get excited about! Here are some examples of these areas:

Wellness – wellness centers, retreat centers, holistic & complimentary therapies, nutrition, spas, herbs, supplements, homeopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy, skin care products, water and air purification, natural products …

Journeys of Discovery – retreat centers, B&B’s, hiking, boutique hotels, spas, dance classes, self-help workshops, art classes, travel, white-water rafting trips …

Do you do other types of writing?
Yes – resume services and technical writing (forms, manuals, proposals, letters). Also, I’m available for research projects and recipe development.

What is your writing style like?
My writing style has a professional and positive attitude. Take a good look at this website – it was written by me. Also, check out my online PORTFOLIO. By the way, I avoid writing “in your face” hype … or anything heavily fear-based. That’s not my style.

How long does it take to get my copy?
It depends on the size of the project. Small projects take 1-3 days. Large projects could take up to 4 weeks. Medium-sized projects fall somewhere in between.

Will you work with my graphic designer?
Absolutely! Having me review the design draft is a great idea! I can make sure the copy remains effective. Design drafts must be in a PDF file.

What information will you need when you start my project?
  • Any information you have on your product or service.
  • Any current or past of the following: brochures, sales letters, reports, clippings, ads, web pages, studies, research … and anything else that might help me.
  • Information from other businesses offering a similar product/service.
  • If I’m writing about a product, send me the product. If it’s a destination or service, have me experience it. (Not a requirement, but it helps tremendously.)
  • If you don’t have much written information, don’t worry! We’ll schedule at least one phone interview.

How much do you charge?
Since each project is unique, it is best to call or email for a FREE quote.

What if I need revisions to the copy you wrote for me?
It’s common to want to make revisions. Once you’ve received your copy, you have 30 days to request changes. Revisions are quickly done – at no extra charge.

How do I give you my information?
I’ll email you a detailed questionnaire. Just complete it and email it back. Also, email any previous resumes. And we’ll schedule a time to chat about your talents (up to 60 minutes).

How long will it take to get my resume?
Three (3) business days after I’ve received your information.

How do I receive my resume?
Via email, as a Word attachment. Make sure to check your documents before sending them out.

What resume styles do you use?
Usually, one of the two popular resume formats:
Chronological: When you’re going after a job similar to previous jobs.
Functional: When you want to change careers – or returning to the workforce after an absence.

Do you write cover letters?
Yes. Cover letters are typically 3-5 short paragraphs. Full-page cover letters are available.

Do you offer interview coaching?
Yes. This is a great way for you to get more comfortable with the interviewing process. Use this time for a “mock” interview – or use the time to discuss any challenges you have with interviews.

I’m not sure what my dream career is … can you still help me?
If you’re unfulfilled with your current job, and not sure what you want to do next, then this is for you. “Dream Career” coaching is a fun, informal, free-form exploration. Through questions, answers and discussion, we will discover potential career paths for you.

How much does a resume cost?
Cost depends on what you need, and when you need it. Normal turnaround time is 3 business days. Resumes start at $145 – and your reference page is free. Cover letters start at $65. Rush & weekend services are available.
